The educational component is based on educational interventions that take into account the child's pace and level. These interventions are aimed at transposing skills developped into daily living. Through meetings and messages, parents are kept abreast of and involved in the program. Above all The Jolly Circus strives to encourage parents and educators to take every opportunity to guide and accompany young children in developing their social skills to reduce their violence level when reaching school age.
The Jolly Circus is intended for daycare educators working with children aged three to five. The package includes an intervention guide, sixteen stories gathered in eight books, a compact disk with children songs (in french), cards featuring the main characters in the stories. The guide includes twenty activities related to target skills, optional activities, a list of important suggestions to implement and use the program, as well as the 10 keys to sucess of the program. It also includes a part for educators, one for parents, and a number of appendices.
